The Flamingo Challenge supports women facing breast cancer at Ascension Sacred Heart Bay. Every flamingo placed in a yard or outside a business represents courage, strength, and a community standing together to ensure no woman faces breast cancer alone.
Each year, Ascension Sacred Heart Bay Cancer Center provides exceptional cancer treatment, along with the support services that help patients and families navigate every step of the journey. From patient navigation and emotional support to advanced technology and survivorship resources, your generosity helps make compassionate, comprehensive cancer care possible close to home.
Most importantly, every dollar raised through the Flamingo Challenge stays local, directly benefiting patients and families served by Sacred Heart Bay.
How to Participate

Complete your donation online and save your receipt.
3. Pick up your Flamingos & Yard Sign
Purchase receipt required for pick-up.

Post photos of your flock on social media using #FlamingoChallenge and encourage friends, family, neighbors, and coworkers to join the flock and support local cancer care.

From Breast Cancer Survivor to Caregiver
Alexa knows firsthand the challenges of a breast cancer diagnosis.
After overcoming breast cancer herself, she returned to Ascension Sacred Heart Bay as an ICU nurse, using her experience to comfort and support patients and families during some of their most difficult moments. Today, she helps bring hope and healing to others while continuing to walk alongside her twin sister in her own cancer journey.
Alexa's story is a powerful reminder of what compassionate care can make possible, and why local support matters.
