This October, Sacred Heart Foundation is launching For Her. Right Here., a breast cancer awareness month campaign supporting women receiving cancer care right here in our community.
Here for the women we know and the community we call home.
She is a mother.
A daughter.
A sister.
A wife.
A friend.
She is the woman sitting beside you at church, cheering from the sidelines at your child’s game, working down the hall or meeting you for dinner on a Friday night.
And one day, she may hear the words no woman ever expects to hear:
"You have cancer."
When that day comes, we want her to know that hope, compassion and exceptional cancer care are right here at home.
FOR HER. RIGHT HERE. is a community wide campaign supporting women receiving cancer care at Sacred Heart Cancer Center. It is about neighbors caring for neighbors and, a community coming together for the women who mean so much to us. Because when cancer touches one woman, it touches the people who love her, too.

Your Support Ensures No Woman Walks This Journey Alone
At 31 years old, Raven was raising one-year-old twins and planning her wedding when she heard the words that changed everything.
“You have cancer.”
What followed were six rounds of chemotherapy, a double mastectomy with reconstruction, 30 rounds of radiation and targeted therapy.
There was fear. There were hard days. There was even the loss of the hair Raven called her “security blanket.” But there was also an extraordinary amount of love.
Right here at the Sacred Heart Cancer Center, Raven found caregivers who became part of her story. People who saw more than a diagnosis. People who reminded her through every appointment, treatment and difficult day that she was still Raven.
A mother. A fiancée. A daughter. A friend. A woman with an entire life waiting for her beyond cancer.
In January of this year, Raven rang the bell she had dreamed about for months.
Today, she holds tightly to the ordinary moments she once might have rushed past.
“I don’t know what the future may hold, but I do know that I’m going to soak in every single moment that I can and love on my tribe.”
This October, we honor Raven and the women in our community whose lives have been touched by breast cancer.
